Over the years for Christmas and birthday’s, I always find something special to give the girls that stands out from the smaller things. Usually it is a special new softie, something handmade or a special new outfit that they can dress up in and let there imaginations take flight. I have always been lucky that shopping for the girls has been easy. It is fun looking around Baby Donkie because there are always lots of lovely things we could get for them, but the boys (and all those cute babies too) certainly don’t miss out at Baby Donkie either.

There are lots of products for the boys that I love, like the Emma Laue Cassius Shorts,  Amor Amor Designs Monster Singlet and Pirate Rattle. I also love the cheeky Alimrose Designs Monkey Rattle which I can see both boys and girls thinking is very cute! Plus the I think the Milestone Cards are a brilliant idea for a baby shower gift, especially when the sex is unknown.

One of the newest products to arrive at Baby Donkie is the funky BLAFRE retro inspired range of tin suitcases, tins, drink bottles and thermoses.

I think the BLAFRE range is super cute and I love that it is not only stylish but practical and of course BPA Free! Designed in Norway and inspired by the 1970′s, the range features horses, elephants, owls and cool robots in bright complimenting colours, reminiscent of the 1970′s and the clothing and furniture of the era. I can’t help but be reminded of the oranges, greens, browns and pinks from that decade and the family photos we have with orange furniture and even green carpet!

The drink bottles are stainless steal with a plastic pull up spout and cap. They are a nice size for little ones holding 350mls and easy for their little hands to grip around. They are handwash only but it is worth the quick handwash so you don’t ruin the gorgeous picture on the outside. Miss C was a big fan of her drink bottle declaring “I like it Mummy”.

The Tin Suitcase is also adorable, and again reminiscent of the old school style tin lunch pails. They have a great little handle and an easy to use latch. It is great as a stylish tin lunch box but is also perfect for storing treasures. I asked me Miss C to fill it with some of her favourite treasures (which you can see in the picture on the left) and it easily fit all those little trinkets and some big ones too. It worked perfectly as a treasure box for  necklaces and bracelets too, fitting loads in! When not in use it looks very cute on Miss C cupboard shelf on display.
